  1.      The Contact Tracking System (version 3.0) is produced and
  2. copyrighted by Jamal Mazrui of Access Success.  It is a shareware
  3. database management system for keeping track of contacts of
  4. people and companies, and the ongoing status of relationships
  5. with those contacts.  A contact file contains address and phone
  6. number information about each contact;  a status file contains
  7. dates and descriptions of events in connection with those
  8. contacts.  A wide range of operations can be performed on each
  9. record including the ability to create the skeleton of a letter
  10. to a contact and load it into your word processor, address an
  11. envelope, and dial a phone number with your modem.  Report
  12. options include mailing labels, a list of reminders organized
  13. chronologically, and mail merge form letters.

  15.      The system is written to work well with a speech synthesizer
  16. and screen reader program.  It will automatically verbalize
  17. relevant information.  It is also meant to be visually friendly,
  18. however, and need not be used with speech output.

  20.      Version 3.0 of the Contact Tracking System corrects some
  21. small bugs discovered in previous versions and adds many new
  22. features.  These include memo fields in which variable length
  23. text can be entered and searched; capacity for international
  24. addresses; consistent dialing ability with almost any modem; mail
  25. merge capabilities with WordPerfect; classification of STATUS
  26. records according to user defined types; a more powerful "list
  27. mode"; more sophisticated transfers between CONTACT files; user
  28. defined label formats; and several others.

  30.      Though this version is significantly more powerful, it is
  31. also more friendly.  The on-line help is more extensive,
  32. including help screens accessed by pressing the F1 key and other
  33. short help messages that display automatically.  The
  34. documentation file is also more clear and comprehensive.
